Matt Higgins presents Joe Yattaw and Bob Marra with the memorial horseshoe champions plaque. Joe and Bob narrowly defeated Paul Yattaw and Jim Yattaw in what may be the first finals to have three siblings competing. (Word has it that Carol Yattaw was rooting for her two younger sons.)

Bob and Joe also paired to win the 2001 tournament. Each player is now a three-time champion. Hopefully now they will each decide to retire from competition so someone else will get a chance!
