Lindsay Ware-Piattoly Performs at Hurricane Katrina Benefit

Lindsey Ware-Piattoly, daughter of Susan and Charles Carter, performed March 4, 2006 at a Katrina benefit for the New Orleans Opera. The premier performers were Placido Domingo and Denyce Graves. Lindsey is a member of the Opera Chorus, and has performed in La Traviata, and The Tales of Hoffman. She has a BM in vocal performance from Louisiana State University , and is the music director for Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mandeville , La. She also teaches private voice and piano. This was the first event post Katrina for the New Orleans Arena. The night was filled with selections of music from Verdi to Gershwin. It was another of the events proving New Orleans is slowly coming back.
