Mary Beth Currier

WATERFORD Mary Beth Currier, 70, of Washington Ave., died Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at St. Mary's Hospital. Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Alfred A. and Elizabeth Radigan Bills. She was a graduate of Heatley High School in Green Island and had resided in Waterford for the past 64 years. Mary Beth was employed for many years as a nursing assistant at the former Leonard Hospital and had also been employed by the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance. She worked at the polls in Waterford on election days. She was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church. Mary Beth was widow of the late Richard F. Currier Sr. She is mother of Sandra E. Cummins and her husband George of Waterford, Richard F. Currier Jr. and his wife Debra of Waterford, William J. Currier and his wife Donna of Gulfport, Miss. and Brian J. Currier of Corinth; sister of Alfred D. Bills of Saratoga and Richard A. Bills of Waterford; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be Saturday at 8:30 a.m. from the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rt. 32), Waterford and at 9 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Waterford. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Waterford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Friday 4-8 p.m.
